Meet MikePhoto of Mike Haskell

With more than 30 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, Mike Haskell is one of Montgomery’s premier professional contractors. Read below for answers to common questions Mike gets about his experience and qualifications, and why Allied Construction Services should be your first choice for your contracting needs.

Mike, what makes you a qualified contractor?

Well, for starters, I’m licensed and insured. I also employ only the most qualified carpenters and builders to be part of my team. We stay up to date on codes and regulations and deliver projects on time and within budget.

What unique quality do you bring to the table during projects?

I’ve spent 30 years working not only on residential projects but also on commercials ones. Homeowners may not realize that working with a contractor who has experience in commercial work is beneficial to them, but it is.  There so many codes and regulations in the commercial world and I’ve spent a lifetime learning about and adhering to strict guidelines. Safety levels have to be impeccable. When I do residential work, I bring that same level of commercial professionalism, accuracy, and high standards to the table. Homeowners get a lot of value in working with a residential contractor who has a commercial background.

How long have you been working in residential?

I’ve done both residential and commercial contracting my entire career. I’m not a commercial contractor who decided to do residential. I’m actually a licensed unlimited homebuilder with the State of Alabama. I know homes from repair and maintenance to complete builds.

What are some of the companies you’ve worked with for commercial projects?

I’ve worked with Chevron, Texaco, Sonic Drive-in, O’Charley’s, Captain D’s, Ruby Tuesday’s, churches, warehouses, and more.

Which do you prefer more, residential or commercial jobs?

That’s an impossible question. I have knowledge and expertise in both and I enjoy both. That’s why Allied Construction Services is a full service builder. It’s impossible to choose.

What should homeowners know before hiring you for a residential job?

I know that our homes are one of the most precious things we’ll have in our lives. Homes protect our families and house our memories, and I take great care when completing work in someone’s home to preserve what people love about it. If someone is remodeling or starting a new build, I ensure I make their home into a space they’ve always dreamed of so new memories can be made.

What should someone know before hiring you for a commercial job?

I’m equipped with the knowledge and experience to meet and exceed expectations on commercial projects. I’ve worked with architects, civil engineers, DOT, city officials and more. I know all phases of carpentry, concrete, and steelwork and manage the process from estimates to inspections.

Any last thoughts?

I would tell people to take a chance on Allied Construction Services, but there’s no need to take a chance. We’re a sure thing.
